English Rakugo Class for Foreigners in Namikiza
"Tanimachi Aloha English Rakugo Dojo" is a group lesson lasting approximately 60 minutes.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of Rakugo, with the ultimate goal of being able to perform English Rakugo at events and other venues.
<Course & Fees>
● Group Lesson Fee
Fee: 4,000 yen per month (one session per month; tax included)
— Half price（2,000yen) for students
● Eligibility
International students and foreign residents in Japan (ages approx. 15–100)
Open to all nationalities
★ You do not need to speak English to participate, though lessons are conducted primarily in English.

1. Please prepare a folding fan (*sensu*) and a hand towel (*tenugui*). (These are not required for the trial session.)
2. You will choose a *koza-mei* (stage name/performer name), so please give this some thought beforehand.

Rakugo Performer , English Teacher
In 1983, the late Mr. Shijaku Katsura started English rakugo.
She started working as a freelance performer in the fall of 2008. She has also performed in the United States (New York) and New Zealand.
Currently, she teaches English and English rakugo at schools, companies, cultural centers, etc., and performs English rakugo at live houses, universities, and inbound events.
